University library base was laid by the editions from Riga Polytechnic Institute. During the years of its existence, the library fund has increased more than 100 times and now amounts more than 1.000.000 volumes, including 4.000 ones in foreign languages. It has the largest in the region microfiche stock of periodicals that provides direct and easy access to the world's most important scientific, technical and scholarly publications and saves space for their keeping.

The editorial-publishing division has the license of the State Committee on printing activities. It promotes an effective and qualitative library stocking . To facilitate the academic activities large editions of various textbooks, manuals, methods guides, etc. are published annually.

ISUCT Information Centre is a regional one in stocking libraries with literature on chemistry and chemical technology. Achievements of the Information Centre staff enabled it to grant the status of information-methodological centre and to supervise the libraries of colleges and technical schools in Ivanovo region.
