Application Guidelines for Foreign Applicants
APPLICATION PROCESS
Which documents must be submitted?
Application documents can be submitted online on the ISUCT website (http://univer.isuct.ru/user/sign-in/login - link to create a personal account). A video instruction on the application process can be found on the University’s official YouTube channel.
To apply to ISUCT one should prepare and scan the following documents:
- Application form with a note on the chosen training program and mode of study (the application form will be available in the personal account).
- ID/Passport and a notarized translation in Russian.
- Education document recognized in the Russian Federation as an education document of the state standard with the list of studied subjects and grades received (the original and a notarized translation in Russian).
- Photo.
- Health certificate confirming no restrictions to study in Russia. It is necessary to provide a negative HIV blood test, a photofluorography and a vaccine record.
In case of necessity it may be necessary to provide (in case of questions contact us via telephone, Viber, WhatsApp, Telegram: +7 920 372 69 78):
- Certification on recognition of the education document in the Russian Federation.
- Copies of documents or other proof confirming that a person residing abroad belongs to a group specified in the Article 17 of the Federal Law № 99-FZ.
All translations into Russian must be made considering the first, last and patronymic name noted in the entry visa and/or identification documents with the first, last and patronymic name in Russian.
In case of enrollment into ISUCT foreign citizens on arrival at Ivanovo must provide the Office of International Education and Cooperation (Ivanovo, Sheremetevsky prospect, 7, office 318) with the following documents:
- passport/ID;
- migration card with the purpose of visit “study”;
- 10 photos (size 3x4, black and white or in color);
- originals of the documents in points 1-7 mentioned above.
In accordance to Article 1 of the Federal Law from May 24, 1999 №FZ “On State Policy of the Russian Federation relating to compatriots abroad” compatriots with no Russian citizenship to receive the right to education on an equal basis to Russian citizens must provide additionally to the aforementioned documents:
- a copy of the passport (and/or birth certificate) of one of the applicant’s parents who previously resided on the territory of the Russian State, the Russian Republic, RSFSR, USSR or the Russian Federation;
- a copy of the applicant’s birth certificate confirming direct ascendancy to the mentioned persons;
- a copy of an official document, confirming permanent residency of the applicant abroad (depending on the country – a stamp in the passport, a certificate from a governing body of the foreign state, and so on).
In case of transfer from one university to another it is necessary to provide additionally to the aforementioned documents a certificate of study with a list of studied subjects, completed academic hours and received grades and its notarized translation in Russian.
Can foreign students receive state-funded education?
The following foreign citizens have the right to receive higher education at ISUCT funded by the Federal Budget of the Russian Federation:
- Citizens of the Republic of Belarus, the Republic of Kazakhstan, the Kyrgyz Republic, the Republic of Tajikistan (no additional requirements, according to the Agreement “On equal rights for citizens of the participant states of the Agreement on strengthening the economic and humanitarian integration from March 29, 1996 to application to educational institutions”).
- Compatriots. When applying at ISUCT it is necessary to provide documents, stated in point b, Article 17 of the Federal Law №99-FZ “On State Policy of the Russian Federation relating to compatriots abroad”. These include:
- a USSR birth certificate of an applicant’s parent;
- an applicant’s birth certificate;
- an applicant’s passport, official statements, certificates confirming current residency abroad.
- Citizens of the Republic of Azerbaijan, Georgia, the Republic of Armenia, the Republic of Moldova, the Republic of Uzbekistan, Turkmenistan, Ukraine, the Republic of Estonia (there are additional requirements, stated in the agreement of the Russian Federation with each state).
Application Deadlines
- When applying within the admission plans for full-time study applicants must comply with the following application deadlines:
- For Bachelor’s degree programs:
- start of reception of required documents – November 1, 2021;
- end of reception of required documents for those applying to programs that require passing a creative exam or other entrance exams held by ISUCT – July 25, 2022;
- end of reception of required documents for those applying to programs that do not require passing entrance exams held by ISUCT – July 25, 2022;
- end of entrance exams held by ISUCT – July 25, 2022;
- For Master’s degree programs:
- start of reception of required documents – November 1, 2021;
- end of reception of required documents – July 20, 2022.
- When applying for part-time study:
- start of reception of required documents – November 1, 2021;
- end of reception of required documents:
- For Bachelor’s degree programs:
- within the admission plans – July 31, 2022;
- for study on a paid basis – September 20, 2022 (main admission) and October 15, 2022 (additional admission);
- For Master’s degree programs:
- within the admission plans – July 31, 2022;
- for study on a paid basis – September 20, 2022 (main admission) and October 15, 2022 (additional admission).
Exams
When applying for state-funded education foreign citizens pass 3 entrance exams at ISUCT (or provide the results of the Unified State Exams). The required entrance exams of different training programs are available on the University’s website.
Possibility of paid education
Foreign students can apply to study at ISUCT on a paid basis. The tuition costs of different training programs are available on the University’s website.
