Information on Student Accommodation and Cost of Living

GENERAL INFORMATION

Student dormitories of ISUCT are intended for temporary residence and accommodation:

  • for the study period of non-resident students, postgraduate and doctoral students enrolled in full-time programs;
  • for the examination period and dissertation work of postgraduate and doctoral students enrolled in part-time programs;
  • for applicants during the period of entrance exams.

ISUCT has 4 dormitories. The housing area amounts to 8552 m2, the rooms can accommodate 1450 people. All the dormitories are equipped with the required number of sanitary facilities and utility rooms: washrooms, showers, laundry rooms, kitchens, common rooms and workrooms. Living spaces are equipped with the necessary furniture and linens. All dormitories provide Internet access. Dormitories have access control systems with security desks situated on the first floor of every building as well as video surveillance.

HOW TO RECEIVE DORMITORY ACCOMMODATION

  1. Non-resident students (postgraduate students) applying to study at the University should state their need for accommodation during the application process at the admissions office.
  2. By an application form (filled out at the Social Development Office).

COST OF LIVING

The minimal cost of living in the dormitory is 883 rubles a month.

MOVE-IN PROCESS

For students enrolled in the first year:

  1. Moving into the dormitory can only happen after a conclusion has been concluded and the student has paid the cost of living for 6 months. Alternatively, the student can fill out an application for postponement of payment and pay for each day of residence in August (at the rate of 80 rubles per day).
  2. Non-cash payments can be made at a bank branch or through online banking services. Cash payments are available at the University Cashier’s Office.
  3. After the payment the student must provide the following documents:
  • printed out payment receipt;
  • photo 3x4 cm;
  • copy of ID/passport (main page, registration page);
  • copies of health certificates:
  • for Russian citizens: a scanned copy of the 086/u certificate or a copy of a different health certificate containing information on the latest photofluorography (not older than 1 year).
  • for foreign residents: a scanned copy of the 086/u certificate or a copy of a different health certificate containing information on the latest photofluorography (not older than 1 year); results of an HIV blood test (not older than 3 months).

The certificates must be translated into Russian and notarized.

  • copies of documents confirming benefits (for quota students and those studying on company scholarships).

For senior students:

To move into the dormitory students must provide the following documents:

  • copy of ID/passport (main page, registration page);
  • certificate containing information on the latest photofluorography (not older than 1 year);
  • printed out payment receipt to the amount of the cost of living for 6 months or an application for postponement of payment.
